After being in the real estate industry for 7 years and covering various roles my focus and goal had grown into building an amazing team. Well, my goal came to life! I have joined Keller Williams Realty as a Team Leader in their 1st Market Center in Brooklyn, New York.
After meeting the Team Leader in the Jackson Heights location over a year ago, Keller Williams was engraved in my memory. My story is very simple and absolutely shows how the Law of Attraction and hard work go hand in hand.
I was with Coldwell Banker when I received a call from my Facebook friend, Chris Abazis, Team Leader of Keller Williams Landmark II. Chris and I had a brief conversation and he asked if I was interested in working buyer/seller referrals he was receiving to his office for Staten Island since there wasn't yet a KW office in the area. Of course I said YES and then proceeded to wonder, "Keller who?"After a few referrals Chris had given to me he asked if I would drive out to Queens to meet him. I thought to myself, "Well, that is the least I could do."
The following week I drove out to Queens not realizing I would be in the position I am today because of it. As I walked to the 2nd floor of the office building I was greeted by BOLD red colors and friendly young girl at the front desk. As I waited for Chris a colorful calendar caught my eye. The calendar was a "Monthly Office Calendar". I remember saying to myself, "Wow, I don't think I have ever seen anything like this in other Real Estate offices." The calendar was filled Monday-Friday with some sort of training class geared towards working with buyers, sellers, coaching, motivation etc. That among other things just blew me away and has always had a lasting impression on me.
I was soon greeted by Chris. He walked me around their office to show me their training room, prospecting room, private offices, conference rooms and then his office. We sat down for about 2 hours and Chris asked me things that no one has ever asked me before in my real estate career. I will admit that some of the questions I didn't know the answers to and others I thought I knew the answers to and was found questioning myself. At the end of this meeting one thing was clear...I wanted to build and amazing team of talented professionals. Chris said he was always looking for great talent in the business and would keep me in mind when they decided to open an office in my area.
... And here we are! Keller Williams Realty Empire is officially opened in Bay Ridge Brooklyn and I am proud to be the Team Leader of this amazing office.
