The sales agent in the model home: Who does he work for? He represents the builder, not you. If you do not have a representative on your side, you are not represented.
How can you be represented? The best way to be represented is to select a representative - a BUYER REPRESENTATIVE - before you go out to look. Why? You might not be able to be represented by someone you would have chosen, due to procuring cause, otherwise, after the fact. Meaning, the builder can argue / lay claim, that his marketing brought you to the home, and thereby he does not need to pay commission to someone you would want to select AFTER your visit.
