Looks Like Cabbage – Wonder How it Taste

I was at the bank when I saw some pretty cool plants that look so much like cabbage.  I’m sure it is some kind of ornamental cabbage.  I never would have thought to plant ornamental cabbage in my garden – unless of course it was edible.

The centers are so vibrant and pink right now.  I just thought these were the coolest plants I have seen in a long time.

I hope Roy Kelley from Maryland stops by so he can tell me exactly what kind of plant this is.

Roy takes the best flower pictures of anyone.  Maybe its because he spends so much time in the Rain and his flowers love it.  Between his time in the Rain and his Sunny personality, the flowers can’t help but thrive.

That is a beautiful plant. The colors are so bright and cheerful. It looks like it would be good to eat.

Hi Belinda - That's a very pretty plant, but it isn't making me hungry. Maybe if it looked like bacon...

Belinda, it IS ornamental cabbage.  I have not only the purple variety in my yard, but also a nice off white with a little hint of green.  I had never really seen them before until about a year ago.  They are very cool, and also a great conversation piece.  Good luck with yours.

Belinda,

It is beautiful, and like Jean said, it is ornamental...the good thing about is that it makes a greaat contrast in a flowering bed both in color and height.  Happy Tuesday, A

Oh boy,  I've waited all day but no Roy Kelley.  Come on Roy, I need your professional opinion.  Maybe he has been busy taking outstanding pictures during one of his walks.
