Would you like to name a park in Minnesota? What will you win? Fame and glory forever and ever.
A park-naming challenge is underway to find a name for Sherburne County’s newest park. The public is asked to contribute name ideas for the park along the Mississippi River in Clear Lake Township.
All names will be judged by the Sherburne County Park Commission for a recommendation to the county board. The final determination will be at the discretion of the county board.
Check the county website at www.co.sherburne.mn.us to view an aerial photo of the park, the park plan and information about the property.
Submit names to Sherburne County Planning and Zoning, 13880 Business Center Dr., Elk River, Minn. 55330 or enter your proposed name on the website and be sure to include your address, e-mail and phone information.
The deadline is January 15,2013.
