Good Morning Craig.. I did not know this one... I need to see if there is an update for my android available... Angry Birds is just plain addictive and good to use when waiting for an oil change.. LOL Thanks for the info.. =)
Good info, Craig. I'm sticking with my iPhone 4S for awhile until they work all the bugs out :)
Janna - we are depending more and more on our mobile devices, it is great to get the latest!
Janis - who is your favorite - blue bird or yellow bird? hehe
Toni - your 4S may prompt you about the update to ios6 also - just be aware of the option when you see it
Craig ~ It was annoying for the maps to disappear or should I say I didn't realize they would be removed ....
Thanks for the link to see what is new for the iPhone!!
Craig, I did visit that link to the 'Angry Birds' text version. Funny stuff :)
I can't imagine RIMM will be in business too much longer. Of course back in the day, I never though Apple would gain such public appeal... so who knows!
Good morning Craig,
Thank you for the information.
Make yourself a great day.
Craig - Thanks for the information. I'm still debating weather I should updgrade to Iphone 5 from the Iphone 4.
Hi Craig, I was certainly glad I left my Blackberry behind last year. I can't image why I kept using it so long before I finally got a Droid smartphone. Never played Angry Birds, but I have heard a lot of it from others.
Hi Craig - this is always a spirited topic but I am patiently awaiting my next upgrade to go with the Galaxy S3 - sure they are getting sued but does not stop me from buying the best phone! Regards Dave
Karen - hope you don't get lost :)
Michael - RIM will have to do something very dramatic to not slide of the map (speaking of maps)
Raymond - you are welcome, thanks for visiting
Robert - definitely the best iphone so far, if your contract ends soon you will like the cost better!
Jerry - great move on the upgrade, if you try it watch out, janis will tell you!
David - I have the Galaxy Nexus for a year. Galaxy S3 would be my choice shopping today also! :) (though I am very happy with my nexus - It just got jelly bean update yesterday makes even better)
Hi Craig - I just updated my ancient iPhone 3GS and my iPad3 to IOS6. The phone got slower, but it's an old processor and I don't use it for much other than talking and the occasional text. But the new Twitter app is vastly improved on the iPad, and I now have Siri - I'm looking forward to getting to know her.
I have the Sprint EVO Craig. It is one that came out with the new 4G system. They update me often. Should I assume I already have this?
Dick - sounds like you are DUE for the new iphone?? :)
Michael - I have the Galaxy Nexus and can comment just fine on AR. Maybe that was an issue with older versions android? If iPad works for you, I would assume iPhone will do similary based on similar OS. Ask around in AR, I'm sure lots with iphones can tell you for sure.
Jay - if you go to your phone settings icon look for "about phone" then look for "android version" - you will see a 3.x or a 4.x - my notes above tell which is which (gingerbread, ice cream sandwich, jelly bean)
I just checked for some new Android updates...cool site, thank you very much!
Craig, I have a Droid, and I hate it. I'd almost prefer to have a Blackberry. =)
Wallace - I found it helpful to go through the lists and not miss anything cool on the updates
Lynda - not all androids are created equal! many times manufacturer will muck up the interface with their 'enhanced' version. That's what I appreciate about my nexus. No manufacturer muck to the pure android.
Ha! Mine says Android version 2.3.5! So I don't have the new one. There is no sweet wording, but it isn't into the 3 or 4 range.
Jay - thanks for coming back. I was wrong - thanks for making me look - 2.3 was gingerbread, 3.x was honeycomb, 4.0 was ICS, and 4.1 was jelly bean - 2.3 really jumped to 4.0 because the honeycomb update was focused on the tablet transition - meanwhile you are still pre-version 4 though. :(
Very informative post. Thank you for sharing the knowledge. Currently, I have the Iphone 4 and it seems impossible to keep up with the constant upgrades Apple comes out with. There will always be something with more features than what you have out there.
Craig I am a sweet tooth person...happy to be with google community. Thanks for sharing the cool new features coming up.
Craig, in retrospect, I should have waited a while before downloading IOS6.
Hi Craig,
Looks like fun but it doesn't appear my Samsung Infuse will be getting the upgrades!:( Will have something to look forward to for my next phone though!
Thanks for sharing!
Jeantets - not all the updates will matter, usually there are a few that really help us out. That's is why I like to keep an eye on the "what's new" pages to make sure I don't miss an important feature
Ritu - it is good stuff (both sides of the apple-google fence)
Chris - apple has a lot at stake (reputation) to make it right - I'm sure they will act fast where needed :)
DeeDee - very sad that some devices don't upgrade - hope you can get your newer phone before too long of wait :)
I installed the new Apple operating system on my iPhone and I love the voice directions on the map feature, which I didn't have before - love that feature even if it isn't Google maps.
thanks Francine for the good report of the update - technology should make things easier for us! happy driving!
Interesting,
I switched from Android to IPhone couple of years ago... Still prefer IPhone. Waiting for my new one to arrive on October 5 :)
Thanks for your post. It is nice to know what makes them different...
I have the 4s - easy to comment on AR, and email is good. Other than that, I cannot think of anything nice to say about the iPhone, can't wait to upgrade to an S3.
Tatyana - I saw my first iPhone 5 today on the commute - hope you enjoy yours soon!
Virginia - I have respect for the iPhone, but my choice is Android and S3 is the phone to have now IMO
I am so excited! I have been looking everywhere for the text version of angry birds:) Love my android and the razor maxx battery lasts me all day long. The newest os sounds nice.
Hi Craig,
I find it very interesting how all the phones compete with each other. I was talking the other day about how I love the commercials for Galaxy phones, but I don't know anyone who owns them. So how are you suppose to get the max out of them?? I'll stick with my iphone. I love it!
Thanks for the info, I will be upgrading to the new iphone in a couple of months and this was very helpful!
