How to start a successful day

By

Before you go to bed write down three things you are going to do first thing in the morning... they can be any thing... phone calls, etc... it is amazing how such a easy thing can jump start your day... I realize it sounds silly or too easy but I think if you give it a try a and stay with it you'll be amazed... some times during a very trying day it is nice to know you got something done when every thing else is going wrong... best of luck and hang in there...

Hi Rick,

I like your idea--if I just stick to three things maybe I can get them done.  It is pretty daunting when the list is a foot long.

This is a good way to stay on track and get done what needs to be done.  I love the feeling of crossing off the list those things I've accomplished.  It feels good.

The other thing that helps is to get to work a little earlier than everyone else.  If you can do those 3 things before everyone else gets there it is even better.

I might have a problem finding just 3 things to do each day, but it sounds like an interesting strategy.

I also have this list of 3-5 things that I will do the next day. Too often the ones I don't write down I forget to do. So, I've learned to write everything down that I want to get done.

Nice tip.  It seems though that I have unlimited number of things to do.  I guess. I need to keep it simple and focused.  Thanks again.

Good tip. I check my calendar before bed every night again and start my to-do list for the next day. It helps me wind down for bed knowing I have a game plan to attack the next days activities. Crossing off my list as I get through my day keeps me on track. I also prioritize my list to get top priority things done first.
