Wings of Fancy Exhibit, Brookside Gardens:  Butterflies

 

Brookside Gardens of one of the treasures to be enjoyed by the residents of Montgomery County, Maryland and visitors from around the world.  Brookside Gardens is located in the Wheaton Regional Park in the suburbs of Washington, DC.  Montgomery County is the preferred location for families that are relocated to the metropolitan area of the District of Columbia. 

 

Wings of Fancy, a live butterfly and moth exhibit, is one of the annual displays in the Conservatory at Brookside Gardens.  Dolores and I enjoy our visits with cameras in hand.

How magnificent is this little creature who has had two lives...The first one, not bad at all. They got to crawl around (as caterpillars) and stuff themselves on fine leaves and then fall asleep only to awaken to the next phase Butterflies!...Now, they soar through the heavens and how beautiful they are when they do....Thank you Roy...well done here my friend

Roy-I had to smile yesterday as I was outside working planting tulips and saw a butterfly I had never seen before and I thought of you with you always saying having camera in hand and I didn't have it outside with me so I missed it by the time I went and got it. I have butterfly bushes planted so maybe I will see him again. It was brown and orange. I love yours and when you mentioned it was hard to capture because of the movement I understand that just from watching that one yesterday. I love all yours. I had seen one similar to your blue and black one.
