Why Provide Buyers Booklets?

By
Real Estate Agent with Webb Solar Realty, LLC 295742

Providing Buyers with booklets saves time.  Buyers want and need information.  Oftentimes, real estate agents are working with first time and home buyers who are up/downsizing.  As a result, they may not have or have limited information about home buying.  Ideally booklets provide information to aid the home buying experience.   Although clients depend on the agent to assist with the knowledge gap, booklets can prove invaluable tools for home buyers to learn on their own time and at their own pace.  Among other things, the booklets tend to have working sections to help narrow or identify features of the desired home.  This provides clarity for buyers and agents.  This clarity assists buyers and agents with criteria to narrow down the selection of homes to view.  Which also decreases the time required to research available inventories.  This activity results in TIME Savings to both buyers and agents.

Marion this is a great idea do you have a source for it or is it something you came up with on your own?

I guess I never thought of it that way and when they say you never told me? there you have it in the booklet that they may never read. The reason I say this is, because my husband will read if it is interesting to him. I therefore am trial an error. I will play with the buttons before I ever read the book.

But you have valid points that this would be a place for information otherwise never found.

It depends on what the topic of the booklets is, and how well they are written.  Some are quite informative, some less so.  The booklets on lead paint, for instance, become less relevant each year, since lead hasn't been used in paint manufacture for over 35 years.

I like this idea -- just wondering what booklets you have found helpful.  I have put together some of my own materials, but it would be good to know of other helpful resources.

A great resource is a first time homebuyer education class book. You can usually get one through one of your non profit organizations that offer the classes. It lets the buyer actually work through thier budget and really helps them understand their mortgage. Very important in todays market.

Dear Fellow AR member, as you know, the spirit of Active Rain is to help each other.  The best way that I've found is by hitting each others' website, to improve internet search rankings.  I checked out your website, and I liked the little computer monitor, that's so neat.  If you have a second, please reciprocate the favor by checking out my website at http://www.southerncaliforniaappraisers.net/

Hi Marion, tell us about your books!  And where did you get the flash computer monitor?  I'd love to have one for my site.
