Too many football fans in Beaufort South Carolina!

I had an open house today at 33 Chistine Drive (www.33Christinedrive.com) from 1-4pm.  Thankfully, one couple came by who saw it in the paper yesterday, otherwise I would have felt that it was a waste of time.  Even if only one couple comes by, it was worth it.  It was one couple who might not have seen it otherwise.  This particular couple was looking for their son who is thinking of relocating here.  After talking with them a bit, I realized that they are WAHOOs!  I knew I liked them for some reason other than being the only humans to talk to today.  Anyway, I guess what I failed to realize was that today is a huge football day and that apparently everyone in Beaufort is off watching the game and not interested in coming to look at this house.  It is a fantastic house.  One of very few true 4 bedroom homes in Beaufort.  Check out the link and you can see more.  Well, the open house is over now and I can be on my way.  The great thing about the internet is that now this house can be "open" 24 hours a day regardless of a big football game or not!

I think that this is a useless day for open houses.  Today and super bowl weekend, football shuts down business activities....after this post...I'm back at the game.

Hi Laura,
I gave up on open houses about 1 1/2 years ago, just does not work in my area.  Sunday afternoons with all the games going on would be a difficult time to get the guys out to look I am sure.

Go Giants!!!!!!! I mean....sorry about your open house! Maybe open houses with football paraphernalia, or a raffle for a NFL jersey would be a good way to attract prospects in this savory SEC, FOOTBALL is LIFE little town. Maybe we could come up with something creative around the Superbowl...NOT ON THE SUPERBOWL, but a day before we could have the "superbowl of open houses"...we just have to get creative. If you can't beat them.......join them!!!

Nice home and I love Beaufort!  I am not a football fan, so I cannot figure out this obsession with Sunday game day that my husband has!

I know of a lot of agents here in the Chicago area that won't have an open house on any Sunday when the Bears are playing. They certainly won't have them on Super Bowl Sunday. I guess we will have to ad the playoffs to the list.
