Andrew, I have been here a loooooooooong time.  And, this was something new for me, too.  With all the AR University classes I have taken, you would have thought this might have come up somewhere.

that's a great tip... I wasn't aware... (although I've heard that a well-cleaned colon can be a good thing ...)

I will echo Alan's comment.  Well-cleaned is nice, but if your colon is in the wrong place... it can be a major problem.

I just had mine checked, and was informed that it is indeed well-placed.  Whew!

You know, we need to read over what we post. Sometimes, leaving out a coma or a colon or semi-colon can change the whole meaning of what we are trying to say.

Ginger:  There have been many nights when I sat here... making comments into the wee hours of the morning, only to re-read my comments in the morning, and really wonder if... I WAS in some sort of "coma."  Some nights, that very well could have been the case.
