Eating in Evergreen Colorado? Consider that technology can be a fun way to experiment. Particularly, when you are out and about and learning an area. If you are going to eat in Evergreen, it is the perfect place to experiment. If you have a smart phone there is an app that has been around a while. It is called Urbanspoon. Great little app, fun to use if you just want to play and pick a place to eat. You can pick a type of food, a dollar amount.
It is a location based app, so make sure you allow the app to use the GPS. You can use it anywhere. I have used it several times traveling, to find something that made sense for our mood. Everything from expensive to very economical. So consider this as a must have app if you travel. When I have used it traveling, and I really had no clue what was around or what kind of food. Put on the app and take a look.
You can pick the kind of food, the price, etc. Or just wander around on the app and see what is there. One fun thing is the "shake". Before you go to the shake take a quick tour. You can go from cheap to fine dining. The fine dining does a great job of telling you what is proximate to your location. Plus there are reviews of people who have eaten there. So you get a feel for how good it really is. I usually accept anything that has a 70% positive rating, and I have never been disappointed.
The app provides the address, and phone so you can call in and see how long the wait is or how busy they are. There is also a spot that allows you to take a picture if you are doing a review and post it. It tells you the hours it is open. It also takes you to the restaurant website, you2 can generally see the menu on that website. There are Critic Reviews, magazines and other publications that have reviewed the place. Plus you can add the restaurant to your favorites, and to your wish list. Write a review, upload a photo and even edit the information about the place.
