Don’t you just love when two of your favorite things are put together? For me, things like ice cream and cookie dough, wine and chocolate, and rainy days and a cup of hot tea are ideal combinations that make me smile. I’m sure you can think of your own perfect pairs that tend to lift your spirits no matter what mood you’re in.
Here at RealSupport, our Vice President Erica, just came across two of our favorite things that just teamed up and the news spread quickly throughout our office. You’re probably wondering what could possible bring that much joy to the hearts of Real Estate Virtual Assistants, so we’ll just tell you: Facebook and Dropbox.
Yep! These two powerhouses that we use all the time with our clients just announced yesterday their dynamic collaboration. Facebook Groups can now use Dropbox to share documents, videos and much more all within the convenience of their group!
Dropbox’s Chris Varenhost noted that, “Just like other posts to Facebook Groups, people can like or comment on anything you share from within the group. And if you make any edits to a file you’ve shared, the group will get an update automatically!”
While this doesn’t change the fact that you can upload something into your Facebook group with a simple upload, it does mean that whatever you’ve saved into the cloud can easily be shared in your groups! This makes sharing things with those in your real estate office or even clients can become even more simple and integrated into a place that people tend to hang out online.
It’s a win win for both platforms as Dropbox gets exposure of their product to millions of people using Facebook, and Facebook can remain the leader in being the social infrastructure of the web.
As Real Estate agents and others in the Real Estate industry, you’ll find this news just as exciting as we do! If you’ve created a group with your current buyers, this is an ideal way to share videos, market reports and pictures of homes on the market. Instead of just posting to your general Facebook business page, a niche group can help those buyers feel that you’re really honing in on their needs. Of course this is just one example of the many ways you can take advantage of this new powerhouse team!
If you have questions about using Dropbox or creating customized groups through Facebook; let us know! We’re here to help you implement new ideas and marketing tools that can boost your business and make life easier. Feel free to contact us today to get started!
We promise it’s better than ice cream and cookie dough... well, almost.
