Take 27 minutes out of your life to listen to a speech which asks and answers the role of government and the patth that we Americans must take. It is interesting how the issues we faced in 1964 are facing us today, maybe a different name, but the same concept.
This is the type of leadership we need in the white house:
Everyone heard that speech and wondered why Goldwater had been nominated! Of course, Goldwater was going to destroy the world. Funny, Vietnam ended when Nixon did what Goldwater had suggested 10 years prior.
Who would have ever thought a movie actor could and would change the world so much. I have high hopes for Romney who has more practical experience than Reagan had at this time.
Jay - One of the best speeches I ever heard. The liberals always try to re-define "society" as government. This speech just shows how flawed that thinking is.
Mike - If Romney represented only 10% of the principals of that speech, he would have my vote. Unfortunately, the principals outlined that speech were never applied to government. As a result, government has grown bigger and our liberties have shrunken.
