Fall is my favorite season of the year. I like the fact the air has cooled a bit, grass tends to become a bit greener in Virginia and of course the trees take on a totally different look. In fact, leaves change color and then Virginia becomes a Photographer's Paradise.
One of our favorite drives during the fall season has always been from Warrenton to Sperryville. The road isn't too busy and there are a multitude of even less traveled roads you can follow. Of course this route always provides a wonderful Fall Color Tour.
There is a great website for knowing when colors are peaking or will be at there best in Virginia. It's called FALL IN VIRGINIA.... I hope you will take a moment to check it out so that you will know the best week and even the best day for enjoying a Color Tour.
The Fall Season In Virginia
I love the colors of fall.
Have a great day and an outstanding weekend. Be sure to have your camera in hand to capture the special moments.
Great localism post David. I believe I was actually at Sperryville about a month or two ago, after leaving Skyline Drive near Front Royal. Anyway it is a very scenic area. Thanks for sharing this article and have a nice day.
Virginia in general is truly special to watch summer fade away and usher in fall. Northern Virginia in particular is beautiful during this season!
David,
I loved the scenic tour of the Blue Ridge. VA is absolutely breathtaking in photographs. I can only imagine how much more beautiful it is to experience it in person, especially this time of the year.
Your homeland is goregous. I can understand why you are so proud to sell properties in that spectacular corner of the United States of America.
David, it is a great time to be out touring our States to see the changes/colors. I think your area probably has more color to view!
