It looks like the rain will be moving on and giving us a nice weekend to enjoy outdoor activities here in Bucks County. There are lots of events available to ring in October and the changing season. Here are a few ideas:

new hope

19th Annual New Hope Arts and Crafts Festival

Saturday September 29 and 30, 10:00am – 6:00pm

New Hope-Solebury High School

The New Hope Chamber of Commerce is again hosting a weekend of art, music and fun for Bucks County residents and visitors. Over 200 artisans will be displaying their wares and competing for prizes. There will also be a shuttle transporting festival goers to Main Street, to enjoy the restaurants and shops of New Hope.

Pumpkin Fest

Saturday, September 29, 11:00am – 8:00pm

Sunday September 30, 11:00am – 4:00pm

Shady Brook Farm, 931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley, PA

Tomorrow is the first day of Shady Brook Farm’s annual Pumpkin Fest. Bring the kids to enjoy wagon rides, corn mazes, pig races, spider web climb, jumping pillows and inflatables. If you are brave, stay until dark and try the mazes with a flashlight. Pick your own pumpkins are available. Visit their website for a coupon off this weekend’s admission.

If you are a visitor to the area, stay all weekend in one of the local inns or B&Bs. Visit New Hope’s Inn at Bowman’s Hill for a secluded romantic getaway that is still close enough to enjoy the fun in Bucks County this weekend.
