Who said 2007 was a bad year?

Yes, 2007 was a challenge, I survived, I'm still here.

What I decided to do while the market was going through its craziness was focus on my becoming more technology savvy; learn what the heck blogging was all about, etc.  I have discovered ActiveRain, Wordpress, various free websites and more.  I don't claim to be proficient at anything yet (as you can tell by this blog) but I am having fun.

A slow year also allowed me to take care of education requirements to take the Brokers Exam.  I passed the exam in December 2007 and just received my Associate Brokers license.

Finally and most important, 2007 brought me 3 new grandchildren; 2 boys and a girl, for a total of 8 now.  3 out of 5 of our children are happily married, the oldest son is getting married next month (Feb. 2008) which leaves us with the baby in her last year of college.

My family is growing, all are happy and thriving. I am going into 2008 armed and dangerous with education and technology.

So when anyone asks me "how was your 2007?", I say it was one of my best years ever!

Vicki, it does not sound to me like you have had a slow year.  It sounds like you have been very busy.  Your children have given birth to three grand children, and you have given birth to your broker's license.  That sounds pretty good to me.

Good for you Vicky, in this business we have to use slow times because you know it will change and we will be working 10h days again. Enjoy all of you kids!

Congratulations on the new family members!  That alone makes for a great year, and glad to see you're growing and learning the tech side.  That IS what will set the survivors apart from those who quit over the next 2 years!  Keep up the good work, and keep the blogs coming!

Kudos - I used 2007 to do much of same.  I'm hoping I dont have to a repeat in 2008.  We'll see.
