The voter pre-registration deadline for Minnesota is October 16, 2012.
Here’s information on how you can register in time for the November 6th elections:
Voter Registration
If you have recently moved, changed your name, or have not voted in the last four years, you may want to pre-register to save yourself time on Election Day. Pre-registration forms are available at City Hall and can be picked up during normal office hours. Forms must be received by October 16th in order for the pre-registration to be effective for the November election.
Absentee Voting
Absentee ballots are available at St. Michael City Hall for anyone who cannot make it to the polls on Election Day, but still wants to vote. Ballots can be picked up anytime during normal office hours until Monday, Nov. 5. St. Michael City Hall will also be open for extended hours on Saturday, November 3, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. for absentee voting. The absentee ballot application form is available at the Secretary of State's website and can be mailed (11800 Town Center Drive NE, St. Michael, MN 55376, faxed (763-497-5306) or emailed (dberning@ci.st-michael.mn.us) to have a ballot mailed to you.
