Water main work starts today in Haverford Township, PA.Caution sign

As part of an ongoing infrastructure improvement program, Aqua Pennsylvania will install water mains on four streets in Haverford Township beginning Monday, Oct. 1. The streets are:

•    Grasslyn Avenue between West Eagle Road and Ralston Avenue;
•    Ralston Avenue between Grasslyn Avenue and West Darby Road;
•    Bellemead Avenue between Darby Road and Pennview Avenue; and
•    Turnbull Avenue between Darby Road and Bellemead Avenue.

Work hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, and the roads will be closed in the construction areas. Temporary no parking signs will be posted in construction areas during working hours.

Access will be provided for essential services such as emergency vehicles, school buses, trash collection and mail delivery. Residents will have access to their properties.

Main installations and service connections are expected to be complete early this November. Final paving restoration is scheduled to be complete this December.
