It seems that all we hear lately from the average consumer is now is not a good time for a home owner to sell their house. Well, at Key Realty I would like to say, now is a great time to sell your house.  Interest rates are still low which allows more buyers to purchase your home.  Home values are starting to rise again.  As you know everyone keeps asking when will home values come up to the good old days.  Well in the good old days of 1995, I was the first Realtor to sell a home for $200,000 in the Centennial Farms subdivision in Sylvania Ohio.

So let’s see what is currently going on in that same subdivision.  According to the Toledo Board of Realtors during the last 12 months, 12 homes were sold in Centennial Farms.  All but 2 of the homes had four bedrooms and the majority of the homes had 2.5 bathrooms.  The price range of the homes that sold were from $137,000 to $212,000.  If you are asking yourself if the house that sold for $137,000 was a bank owned house the answer is…………………….yes.

Are there still a lot of homes for sale in the Toledo Ohio area?  The answer to that is ………………Yes.  However, if you have been thinking about selling your house and was wondering if now is the time to put your house on the market, the answer to that question is ……………………..yes.  Now with that said, I will say that buyers still want to buy a home, and move into it without doing any major work.  So if you have a nice home in good condition I want to hear from you.
