It’s October and you know what that means...it means it’s time to pick a pumpkin, choose a costume, decorate the house and all the other fun activities that come along with Halloween.

I found a great list of Maryland pumpkin patches online at About.com and wanted to share the list with you. Enjoy October and let me know if you try a new Montgomery County, MD pumpkin patch this year!

 

Agricultural History Farm Park

October 6, 2012, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This Montgomery County facility hosts one of the largest harvest festivals in the area. Activities include hayrides, scarecrow making, farm demonstrations, crafts, hay maze, live entertainment and more.
 
Butler’s Orchard

Annual Pumpkin Festival is held weekends throughout October, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pick a pumpkin; take a hayride; explore a hay maze; and enjoy crafts, food, and family activities.
 
Homestead Farm

Harvest festival is held weekends through October from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Take a hayride, pick your own apples or pumpkins, find your way through the hay maze.

Larriland Farms

Annual Pumpkin Festival is held weekends throughout October. Pick a pumpkin; take a hayride; and explore a hay maze and more.

Sharp’s at Waterford Farm

Fall festival held each weekend from mid-September to mid-November. Activities include pumpkin picking, corn mazes, hayrides, campfires, feeding animals, and more.

Montpelier Farms

Fall festival runs on weekends, September 1-November 4, 2012. Hours are Fri. 5-11 p.m., Sat. 10 a.m.-11 p.m., and Sun. 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Corn maze, grass maze, hayrides, animals, pedal karats, hay and play, kids corral, hill slides, pedal tractors, korn crib, corn tepee, straw bale maze, farm football lounge, and pumpkin daycare.

Gaver Pumpkin Patch

Open late September through October, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Free hayrides are offered Fri-Sun. The fall festival features a challenging “Casey the Cow” themed corn maze, large farm animal area, straw mountain, pedal bike track, giant slides, pirate ship, bale mazes, toddler corn maze, and play areas.

Summers Farm

Pumpkinland festival is open September 22 – November 1, 2012 with day and evening activities. Visit the farm animal barnyard, corn maze, giant slides, straw mountain, and American Indian Teepee and much more.

Crumland Farms
7612 Willow Road, Frederick, Maryland. (301) 845-8099. Pumpkin patch, corn maze, haunted hayride, pedal carts, giant trikes, mini-barnyard, hay jump, giant slide, MooChoo train and more. September 22 – November 1, 2012, Tuesday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Jumbo’s Pumpkin Patch

Open daily September 22 – October 31, 2012, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Pick your own pumpkin, explore the Crazy Corn maze, haywagons, petting zoo, pony rides, face painting and much more.

Clark’s Elioak Farm

Open every day in October. 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Enjoy the petting farm, a pumpkin patch, hayrides, pony rides and storybook characters from the Enchanted Forest.

Zekiah Farms

Open Saturdays and Sundays in October, 10 a.m. to dusk. Hayrides, cornmazes, farm animals, pumpkins, straw pit, seasonal produce, farm store, food, and more.

Shlagel Farms

Open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday in October for pick your own pumpkins. The farm offers wagon rides, a petting zoo, a straw maze for the under 10 crowd, a corn box for clean sandbox type fun and educational tours for school or private groups.
