Friday Foto: The Shadow Knows

A great day at our Kent office today working on projects. I stepped outside around 2:30 this afternoon to take a break and enjoy the sunshine for a few minutes. The shadows are long like October, but it's a balmy 72° outside.

I heard on the radio this morning there's a high pressure zone a few hundred miles off the coast that's keeping our usual overcast skies and the start of the rainy season away for another week or so. It hasn't been this dry around here in September / October since the mid 1920's.

This is for my friend Charlie Buell. I love his "The Shadow Knows" profile picture.

We had the same type of weather here in So. New Hampshire.  It is very unusual here too, but I am going to enjoy a couple warm days before things change.

Hi Joan... No kidding, I'm enjoying the fact I have a little more time to get out there in the sun. It's been a busy summer and I feel like I missed some of it...

Hi René, When I was in Seattle, I was speaking to someone  about how beautiful the weather was. He said please don't tell anyone from California because we have them convinced it raines here everyday and we want to keep it that way, :-).

Rene, I still have one major outdoor project to do---that is when it will start raining again :)

Hi Charlie: So true, but let me know when you want it to start raining for sure and I'll wash my truck. That'll do it!

Dry and sun in Seattle in October, that must be a welcome respite from the usual cool and cloudy, at least for a while. Enjoy.

Hi Wayne... It was absolutely gorgeous and sunny for over 80 days until October 12th. The weather here can be quite nice all the up to Halloween some years. But if you know the Northwest, we'll have a few rainy days now and then before the big November grey settles in.
