After being bombarded by the commercials with all of the anxious buyers queuing up to be the first to get the latest and the greatest phone du jour, I began to wonder:
Do people actually do that? Is it a reality or just a Madison Avenue exaggeration?
As for me personally, I prefer the tried and true, fully tested technologies that have stood the test of time. I HATE tech support. I LOVE technology that doesn’t need to be supported.
I would NEVER stand in line for any consumer product. As a matter of fact, on many occasions I have abandoned a purchase simply because the line at the cashier was too long.
And very often, I am grateful that the understaffed retailer gave me the extra time to “think about it!”
Because inevitably I think that I really don’t need the product after all!
