The Houston area, in general, has a lot to offer its residents and visitors. The closer you get to the coastline the more options there are. This is particularly true for the Clear Lake area. Its close proximity to Houston and Galveston makes the Clear Lake area one of the greatest places to live in Texas. From taking in a game at Reliant Stadium or Minute Maid Park in Houston to listening to the sound of crashing waves and seagulls on the beaches of Galveston, there's surely something for everyone. Even if you never left the Clear Lake area, you will find plenty to keep you entertained. Here are just a few things to consider whether you're a resident or a visitor:

Outdoor Life

If you enjoy getting out of the house once in a while, Clear Lake Park has enough amenities to satisfy the outdoorsman in you in between your great adventures. The 59 acre park, located in Seabrook, offers a boat launch, fishing pier, pavilions for hosting events, soccer field, tennis court and baseball field. There's also a huge playground and a jogging trail. If you're a history buff you can even visit the ancient Indian burial ground there.

Need a little bit more of a rush? Head on over to Water Sports Clear Lake at the Hilton for water sport rentals like jet skis and power boats.

The Arts

Have a thing for the arts and history? The Bay Area Museum in Seabrook, housed in the restored Webster Presbyterian Church building, is home to memorabilia reminiscent of the area as well as the Japanese collection of the Saibara family, relics of the Karankawa Indians, and paraphernalia from the Lunar Rendezvous Festival. The museum also provides a beautiful setting for weddings, receptions and special events.

Catch a performance at the Clear Creek Community Theatre featuring the local talent of actors and some area residents. Performances are held on weekends at the theatre's location in Nassau Bay Shopping Village. The upcoming production of “Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf” runs October 19 through November 4 and “A Christmas Story” runs November 30 through December 16. For tickets or season pass information visit the theatre on line at http://clearcreekcountrytheatre.org.

Attractions

One of the most well known attractions in the Clear Lake area is the Space Center Houston. It offers tons of fun and education for children and adults. There's sure to be a full day of activities for the entire family. Learn about the astronauts, space exploration, and take part in interactive exhibits. Space Center Houston offers day and overnight camps for kids, as well as school and group events. Visit the website for more information at http://www.spacecenter.org.

While the Clear Lake area is known for its “out of this world connection” to space exploration, there are other awesome attractions in the area. For a little outdoor fun check out the Kemah Boardwalk. Enjoy this 35 acre waterfront complex of restaurants, carnival rides, midway and arcade games. There is also playground, water fountains, stringray reef and rainforest exhibit. You can satisfy your need for speed on the Boardwalk Beast Speedboat Thrill Ride. Ticket information is available at http://www.kemahboardwalk.com.

For more excitement than you can handle in one place on one day you have to visit the Main Event in Webster. Your options include bowling, billiards, arcade, laser tag, glow golf, gravity ropes, rock climbing and more. The Main Event is a great place to host group and family events. There are also bowling leagues for the serious bowler. Check them out online athttp://www.mainevent.com/.

What's Nearby

As if there weren't already enough to keep you entertained in the Clear Lake area, there's still more to do nearby. If you travel 30 minutes up the highway to Galveston you'll want to visit Moody Gardens and check out the new Pleasure Pier over-the-water amusement park. If the weather is right when you visit you'll definitely want to hit the beaches.

In the opposite direction in Houston you can catch a football, soccer, baseball, or basketball at one of the awesome professional athletic venues in the area. You may want to visit the Houston Zoo and the Children's Museum of Houston.

Nice post, nice topic.  I am currently going to write about places around my area in my blog.  I think it makes for a great attractive way to reach buyers and sellers.
