FOXY INTERIORS INCORPORATED SERVING CENTRAL FLORIDA
HOME STAGING. REDESIGN. RENOVATION
Selling your home can be a very emotional time for you. Perhaps the home you are about to leave was the one where you raised your children. It contains many fond memories of days gone by. Your family pictures are on the wall, the furniture that you and your husband saved so hard for to purchase, the garden that you spent time together creating, your memorabilia from your wonderful family trips may decorate the walls and curio cabinets. Maybe you’ve decided to downsize now that you’re an empty-nester. Emotionally overwhelming you may say and feel. However, when you’ve gotten to this point, remember that your best loved belongings will, at least in part, be going to your new destination.
The job of a home stager is not at all to remove those warm fond memories you have experienced in your home. Our goal is to help you prepare your home to appeal to the most buyers. With that said, this means that you will begin packing up your treasured memories. They vividly belong to you and we want to turn that emotional connection to the house to potential buyers. We do this by encouraging you to pack up your personal photos, your pictures – all items that are personally yours to which you have an emotional connection. Viewers want to imagine themselves living in the house.
To give you an idea of how a home stager can help you sell your home, I’ve written a couple previous blogs on this topic. One explains the process and the other about your ROI (return on investment) by staging to sell BEFORE you list.
Is Your Home Worthy of Home Staging
And, these are my personal emotional connections:
1. Mom with son Brian
2. Brian's first saltwater fish he caught at Sanibel Island, Florida.
3. A beautiful bouquet of flowers my husband picked for me from our garden.
