The graph shows home sales in the Columbus City School District for the past 15 months through September 2012.  The graph is for single family home sales only.  The graph does not include properties listed as condominiums.  The light green bars are homes for sale.  The dark green bars are home sales.

Looking at other factors including home prices in Columbus schools, the average sale price of a home was up nearly 19% from September 2011 and the number of  homes for sale is down 20%. You can see number of homes for sale is down in this graph.   

September 2012 home sales in Columbus schools  were down 11% from September 2011. Franklin County home sales were up in September 2012  "September 2012 home sales in Franklin County, Ohio were up 4.7% from a year ago."

Overall September home sales in the Columbus school district were down 11% from September 2011.  The Columbus City School District is a massive area.  Breaking it down a little bit in many north-side Columbus areas in the Columbus City School District* September single family resale home sales were up. 


Clintonville area

Columbus, Ohio 43202 home sales up 16.7%

Columbus, Ohio 43241 home sales up 30.4%

Northland area

Columbus, Ohio 43229 home sales* were down 3.3%

Linden area

Columbus, Ohio 43224 home sales were up 17.6%

North-west Columbus

Columbus, Ohio 43220 home sales* were up 29.4%

Columbus, Ohio 43221 home sales* were up 91.3%

Columbus, Ohio 43235 home sales* were up 15.4%

* There are neighborhoods in Columbus and another school district within the zip code. Perhaps there are in other zip codes here too. Those with a asterick have neighborhoods in Columbus but other neighborhoods are in Dublin, Upper Arlington, Westerville, Worthington or another district.
