Friday's Foto - Tree Aflame!

Isn't mother nature's splash of color better than any painter's palette? It's amazing the colors she can come up with! This is a local tree, here in Hood River, so vividly colored it looks like it's on fire to me. Happy Autumn, everyone! Happy weekend, too!

Terrific fall picture. Love to visit and see the colors but gave up on winter a long time ago.

Gretchen... that almost does look like a tree that is on fire.  What brilliant colors.  As far as local colors starting to turn... I haven't noticed that yet... but, then again, it is going to be in the mid-80's again tomorrow.

Hi Gretchen, I have been in the Sierras all week capturing some Fall colors as the season is changing. Some of the effects are so amazing. I love your photo and it is just stunning. I should be back to posting since I am using an iPad and I could not upload photos to AR anymore. So I decided to wait for my return back to SD to post.
