Put Your Face on it

By
Real Estate Agent with Champions Real Estate Group

I am still undecided.  i have heard very mixed opinions on the topic of pictures on business cards.

Positives-People know who they are dealing with, Branding,Name Recognition

Negatives- Not professional,Age, judgemental thinking.

Do most of you have a picture or would a logo work better thanks. Stephanie and I are in our early twenties so what do you guys think? Any Recomendations

I always see cards with no photo as very generic... Just my opinion DON'T get mad :-)

You see those cards with every other business!

Real Estate Cards and Lender Cards almost always have a photo of the person you are doing business with. There is a distinction (at least here).

Every other business is text and logo.... no photo....

I am not a realtor but I will share my opinion with you for what it is worth!  Looking at your picture on this site, I would say go for it. I do think that people are jusdemental and do stereotype based on pictures. You may get a few people that think that you are young looking but that can also work to your advantage. As long as you are professional and courteous, I think it will help remind people which realtor you are so they aren't just trying to remember a name. I have gone to many open houses in a day and met many realtors. Later, when my husband and I discuss them, unless their card has a picture, it is sometimes difficult to remember which one we really liked. (At least it used to be. Now I write on the back of their card when they are someone that I really want to remember.)

For what it is worth, I think both cards are professional as long as the picture is professional. The picture just allows for the potential client to remember your face and possibly form a stronger bond when they speak with you later as they don't have to try to picture who they are speaking with.

I'd be interested to find out which way you decide to go! (As a behind-the-scenes person, I don't really consider the need to put my picture on my cards but that may be something for me to think about!)

I think a picture makes it a little more "personal". It's nice to have a face to go with the name! Most all realtors in our area have a picture. I think cards with no pictures, just kinda get "lost". Hope this helps.

Cards with photos are the norm for this business so that's what I would recommend. You could get both and see which work the best for you.
