It's not your Mother's wallpaper! Remember the "beautiful" floral wallpaper of our childhood kitchens and bathrooms in the 60's, 70's and 80's??? In the 90's we went for a more minimalist look and stripped the wallpaper, or painted over it for a more neutral look with paint and feaux finishes. If you are building or remodeling...consider wallpaper, with it's new trends including bold, contemporary prints, murals, textured and gentle worn looks.

It is making a comeback but not for long. It can also be a beast to remove. I had a client who was not pleased when I told her to remove the border in her kitchen before putting the house on the market. LOL.

Oh my! My mother put up yellow/orange/green flowered (BIG flowers!) wallpaper in our kitchen in the late 70's...That didn't last but the blue and white flowered wallpaper (from the 80's) in the bedroom is still up! Watching her putting it up-well that cured me from ever wanting anything to do with wallpaper. LOL
