The Monterey Regional Airport announced Friday that Allegiant has cancelled its scheduled service from Monterey to Honolulu that was to begin on November 16, 2012. "We are very disappointed that Allegiant has made this unfortunate decision." said Tom Greer, General Manager, "This announcement took us by surprise. We were excited about bringing this service to the region's residents and also the opportunity of attracting more visitors to the area." Customers with reservations will be contacted directly by Allegiant for full refunds. Allegiant began service at Monterey Regional Airport in April 2008. It continues to offer non-stop service from Monterey to Las Vegas. The Monterey Regional Airport will continue to work hard to expand air service for our communities.
