Exploring Long Island Sayville NY with Laura Cerrano of Feng Shui LI
Welcome to Sayviille New York! Sayville is located towards the eastern area of Long Island along the South Shore. Sayville was first inhabited by the Secatogue tribe, of the Algonquian peoples. It was founded by John Edwards and was formally named in 1838. Sayville became important mainly for its timber and oysters during those years and today is a tredy location to shop and eat.
At every turn you see a piece of history whether it being preserved with the architecture or signs along the street to indicated an important point in history for Sayville.

Even driving around the neighborhood (not to far from the shore line) you will be pleasantly pleased with the views.
If you are looking for a local metaphysical shop in or around the Sayville area, check out "Mystic." Unfortunately it was closed when I was in town but plan on stopping in another time.
Also, if you are looking to visit Fire Island, Sayville is the gateway to that location. You can take a local ferry which will bring you over to the various fire island docking points.
