This is one incredible little pooch!  Take a minute to read about this amazing little dog who saved the lives of some children.  I hope he does alright with his upcoming surgeries.

It certainly makes you think about what animals really do know!  They are amazing and this one is a true hero!

December of 2011, a dog from Zamboanga City, Philippines named Kabang saved 2 children from a potential huge accident. Because of that incident the dog lost its snout. The dog is still alive and being hailed a hero by those people who have heard her wonderful story.

According to the witnesses, 2 children were about to cross a street and did not noticed a motorcycle moving towards them, Kabang jumped and intentionally blocked the motorcycle to rescue the children. The father of the children also witnessed how the dog saved his daughter and niece. He immediately ran to Kabang and saw her serious injuries. Children were safe and unhurt but Kabang lost the top part of her mouth.

Kabang's action was triggered by her closeness to the children, she was their family dog. They found Kabang when she was a puppy and raised her like a child. Kabang would even sleep on their bed.

Kabang arrives at University of California, Davis. Veterinarians will try to fix her injuries. They will focus on dental work and closing the gaping wound on Kabang's face to avoid infection. Kabang will be at the hospital for 6 weeks.

Let us support Kabang and wish her well in her surgeries.

Morning Paula some people believe dogs and cats have no intelligence.  As I'm sure you are aware I'm not one of those.  Damn shame about the dog

I had heard about this in the news but just read the highlights and not seen a picture.  No wonder this made the news around the world.  I hope they are successful in fixing her nose.
