Two Very Fast, Easy, & Inexpensive Halloween Decorating Ideas

My daughter Jaime (Zack's mom) recently did some Halloween decorating at her house.   When I saw her pictures of what she created,  I knew I had to share them.

First....a ghost in the mirror.

Apply Glad Press'n Seal clear wrap to your mirror.  Cut into a ghostly shape using a razor blade.

I made a couple of ghosts for my house too!

Here's a great idea for making a witch's head!

Zack wanted a witch in their yard.  Jaime had the dress and hat, but no head.  She wanted the head to be waterproof to withstand rain.  I was pretty impressed with what she created....

She used a grocery store plastic bag.  She made the nose by tying off a small section using an elastic. The nose and head are stuffed with more plastic bags.  Black electric tape for the mouth.  She bought the eyes at the dollar store, but ping pong balls, colored with a Sharpie, would be great too.

The hair is a plastic disposable tablecloth cut into strips.  She used hot glue to attach hair strips to the hat.

Happy Halloween

Sally:  No, that apple didn't fall far from the tree.  Jaime is very creative.  It makes me so happy and very proud!

Roger:  I was working on Jack's costume (hopefully posting the end result on Monday) using the glue gun, and cursing like a sailor....Jaime called to tell me about her witch.  Turns out, while I was here burning myself with hot glue, she was at her house burning herself trying to glue the "hair" to the witch's hat.  LOL!

Valerie:  If you already use the wrap and have it on hand...the ghost is FREE!

Donna:  I love how the witch turned out!  Even the color of the bags is perfect!

Hi Sharon,  as Roger says, 'Like Mother...like daughter'.  I have a feeling this, this--what shall we call it?--this need to create, decorate and make things from scratch, is a genetic condition. Terrific ghosts and witch.

Sharon, love the ideas! This year my kids yelled at me for decorating, they said they were too big. So I took some hairy rats and stuck them in their school bags. When they opened them up, they got a surprise.
