My Heart shaped tree - Seasons Change

By
Managing Real Estate Broker with Alpine Lakes Real Estate Inc., NHRE# 02863

One of my very favorite pictures I have ever taken is of a naturally occurring heart shaped tree. It was not a one time thing - as it happens to be located in an area near my real estate office. I have photographed it in all the seasons. The Most dramatic are Summer - Fall and winter...I hope you enjoy the transition and see the beauty whether lush - colorful or stark.

Summer time - a deep lush green returns to the White mountains of NH

September early foliage...taking hold.

Beautiful in glorious color....Mid - October / time is getting short.

Yesterday October 20th...two hard frosts and a bit of snow at this elevation, we are in "stick Season" late fall.

This was shot on December 30th 2011...stark contrast - no color but the blue sky. But every year since I can remember I have stopped at this spot along the Kancamagus national scenic highway in Lincoln NH, to see how my heart shaped tree looked - she hasn't disappointed me. Seasons Change.

Steve,

Thanks for sharing, Nature as in art is only what we see in it.

I love the photo journal of this tree. Nature gives us many wonderful photo opps. The mid October picture is my favorite.

Steve - When I walk at the beach I pick up heart-shaped rocks and have a bowl full, but I don't think I've ever noticed a heart-shaped tree.  I love it, and good for you for snapping pics in every season.

I have enjoyed following the progress of this tree - and I hope it stands there for many years to come.

Steve,

Very dramatic changes in your heart shaped tree from season to season. Nice photoblog.

Wonderful transition of moods and landscape from photo to photo. Each with its own unique qualities. To me, #3 in mid October really dances. Great little photo essay.

Rich & Renee...this is truly and act from the heart. The outlook area is also a nice trail-hear to the Pemigewasset wilderness trail, a nice hike that starts and finishes at this spot - where you'll find "my" heart shaped tree.

Very pretty and could be a great land mark in the future if it isn't already.
