I love Kane County. It is on the cusp of country and civilization. In some places you only have 5 minutes to drive to the store, yet you can see farmland from your backyard. All the shopping you will ever need is present, and charming towns are plentiful. The Fox River offers beauty on any day, even if it is just from your car window as you pass by. People are friendly, yet driven. There are waterparks, forest preserves, abortetums, and farms to visit. In the Spring the greenhouses and nurseries are open, and offer beautiful flowers for our gardens. (Honestly I think we have the BEST greenhouses!). In the summer, kids are splashing in their pools, life and nature are all around, even in our backyards. In the Fall, this is my favorite, we have pumpkin farms open for our fall celebrations. Kids and adults alike can go to any number of farms and pick out their best pumpkin, eat apple cider donuts, and run through the corn mazes. Fall is beautiful here...In winter, if you chose, you can go to the Christmas tree farms and cut your own trees, while you ride to the spot in a hayride. Whatever season it is, there are many things to do here, as well as many great communities. Although western Kane County is expanding with more housing and retail, it will never lose its' beauty. It will always retain it's charm. It is truly a wonderful place to live.
