Introducing The Mt. Hood Independent Film Festival, Oct. 26-28, 2012
The Columbia Center for the Arts is proud to present the first ever Mt. Hood Independent Film Festival in Hood River, October 26 to 28, 2012. Don't miss this chance to be a part of this fantastic new, local festival.
This new and unique festival will feature screenings of dozens of films from genres including: foreign, sci-fi/horror, environmental, narrative, documentary, animation and sports documentary. Althought the festival includes films from around the world, a portion of the films featured will be independent films made in the Northwest, by local filmmakers.
The festival will begin on Friday, the 26th with an opening reception at Columbia Center for the Arts, 215 Cascade Ave., Hood River. Then, over the weekend, film screenings will be accompanied by discussions with filmmakers, actors and other artists througout downtown Hood River. The weekend culminates with a closing ceremony celebrating the festival's winning films on October 28th.
Screenings will be at The Columbia Center for the Arts, Springhouse Cellars and Andrew’s Skylight Theater, among others.
Tickets cost just $25 for a three-day, all access festival pass, or $10/day.
