People are asking me if the Boise real estate buyers market is over. The answer is yes and no. It is true that there are less homes on the market. Boise builders are building again and most homes being built are sold before they start. There are multiple offers early on on bank owned homes, short sales and well priced homes. My agents are writing more offers that are not accepted and are often in multiple offer situations. So it is harder. Buyers can't bully sellers in Boise anymore. BUT home prices are still WAY down from the peak! Interest rates are ridiculously low. When I bought my first house interest rates were 18%! Your house payment on a $50,000 home were more than on a $250,000 home today!
So, is the real estate buyer's market over? All in all I would say no. it is harder to steal a home but looking at history homes are more affordable than in years. And builders are eager to build you exactly what you want. Just call us and if we can't find it we can build it!
