Confluence Park... A Wildlife and Outdoor Oasis in Delta, Colorado. The park covers 265 acres within the Delta Town limits, and this includes a 60 acre lake. There are wooded walking trails that follow the river and loop around the lake. The lake gets stocked once a year with trout, too. At least twice a year there are different fishing events organized just for kids under 16 years of ago. There's also a handicapped accessible fishing area.
Bring a picnic lunch and the kids and the dog. Confluence Park has a skate park, easy hiking trails for the kids and three fenced in dog areas. There are several picnic areas around the lake, or head out on one of the wooded trails and find that perfect spot for lunch.

Some of the trails follow the Gunnison River. This is a great place to view all different kinds of birds and other small wildlife. There is a family of foxes that call this park home.
It's called Confluence Park because this is where the Uncompahgre River meets the Gunnison River. You can cross a cable bridge to the see the confluence of the two rivers.
