When our city gets any sort of spotlight outside of Kentucky Derby time, I get excited, and it recently came to my attention that Buzzfeed.com posted an article calling Louisville one of their top cities on a list of the 10 Most Incredible And Underrated Cities To Live In; I truly consider Louisville one of the best cities to live. Our growing community and cost of living has a lot to do with it, but we keep garnering a lot of praise for other things we've got going on as well, lets look at a few -
- Growing Riverfront and Downtown District
- Development as a "foodie" town with options galore
- Strong "Buy Local" movement
- Expansive parks system, truly making us a "City of Parks"
- We're a city with true Southern charm
I could go on and on, and the longer I live in this city, the more I keep discovering about it. We all know about the Derby, and we get a little attention every March for our basketball history, but it just goes to show you that we're going to make ourselves known.
