Cure for The Winter Woes...New Port Richey Florida

The weather is getting chilly in the North and there is a crisp bite in the air for our neighbors in the New England states.  You may be thinking it is time to escape the winter weather and head to Florida Why not make this winter your last Northern Winter.  Here in New Port Richey Florida we are enjoying warm days this October where the temperatures are in the 80's and cooler evenings with temps in the upper 60's to mid 70's.

Come live the Florida winter lifestyle where a heated pool can be used almost all year long and where the stores don't even stock snow shovels, rock salt or window scrapers.  Living in New Port Richey Florida in the winter is beautiful. Our downtown farmers market on Friday evenings is a great way to get out and meet your neighbors while enjoying the night air and all of the wonderful produce and baked goods the market has to offer.  The farmers market is just one more thing to do in New Port Richey Florida.

You can enjoy boating most of the winter also.  Don't get me wrong, we have some cold days in January but for the most part our weather warms up each afternoon and you can take advantage of pier fishing or canoeing down the Cotee River in New Port Richey and enjoy the views and see the homes of the silent film stars like Groucho Marks, Shirley Temple and Gloria Swanson.   The winter months do not stop the outdoor activities here in New Port Richey Florida.

Many Maryland retirees will be thinking about moving south as we approach the winter season.

Roy, we are happy to hear that.  I've had a few relocation buyers this spring and summer from Michigan and New Hampshire.  Our home prices are very low and with the current interest rate on mortgage loans it makes perfect sense to buy in Florida this winter.
