Moonlight Beach Remodel in Encinitas CA
Moonlight Beach is a very popular beach in Encinitas CA and is undergoing a remodel. (Here's a BEFORE photo)
The Moonlight Beach remodel in Encinitas was approved by the city and began right after the Labor Day weekend and is expected to be completed before the Memorial Day holiday weekend in 2013.
So what is the Moonlight Beach remodel all about?
The major change is the teardown of the bathhouse/concession stand and a rebuild (Moonlight Beach is the only beach in the area including Carlsbad, Encinitas, and Cardiff that offers this sort of amenity on the beach itself) with the bathhouse and concession stand to be housed in a new 600 SF building.
This new building will be at the base of the parking lot, away from the current location, providing a larger beachfront area for everyone to enjoy.
The Moonlight Beach remodel in Encinitas is expected to cost about $4.8 million with some finding from the State.
Another component of the Moonlight Beach remodel is a new 950 SF multi-purpose building at the C-Street cul-de-sac for lifeguard equipment and trucks, plus a rooftop observation area.
You can see an artist rendering of the new buildings on the City of Encinitas website and read more about it.
