Champaign County IL Housing Market Report 3rd Quarter 2012
If you've kept up with our monthly reports, you may remember that the sales numbers for September 2012 were lagging a bit compared to September 2011. However, if you take a look at the charts below, you'll see that the Champaign IL housing market for the entire 3rd quarter of 2012 still outperforms the 3rd quarter of 2011. The inventory of homes on the market in Champaign, IL has remained at lower levels throughout this entire year. Additionally, the average sale price has been up just slighly, most likely due to some of the more expensive homes finally selling after a couple of years of very little movement, and overall we've had more homes sell this year total compared to last. While it's still not the easiest time to have your home on the market, it does appear as though slowly but surely our real estate market is improving.
