Keeping the Momentum...Hurdling the First Years in Real Estate
There's an agent in my office just completing her first year in real estate..and she's wondering how she's going to keep afloat and garner new business to support her in her new career for the NEXT 12 months. Year one was pretty challenging for her, and although she had some sales...the often unpredictable cash flow of real estate sales has her worrying.
I have many of my own ideas I thought I'd incorporate into the next few blog postings, but I'm curious what advice you in Active Rain land would advise as well.
I personally think blogging is KING, and recommend that to anyone. There are free sites, and there is Active Rain...knowing your budget and business plan is the first place to look.
To me, marketing is time...and advertising is dollar. What tips and practices do you recommend as KEY to beginning agents trying to make a sustainable income?
What items and services do you think every beginner should have in their arsenal?
I can remember the day I passed my real estate exam like yesterday. All that foundation...and not a clue how to be an actual agent. I'm grateful for the classes, academies, and online courses out there that helped shaped my pathways.
But there comes a point when you have to step out from the desk and into the public.
How did and do you ...keep the momentum?
