Hamner Road Widening Project - Eastvale, CA
A major road widening project is currently underway between Mississippi Dr. in Norco all the way to Citrus Ave in Eastvale along Hamner. This expansion project is expected to last until February 2013. This project when finished will widen the road that crosses the Santa Ana River. Major delays are expected on Hamner road. Only one lane will be available. Detour is strongly recommended. Limonite exit off the 15 fwy is a good alternate route depending on where you are going so plan ahead. A road along Hamner adjacent to this project is also being added to alleviate some of the congestion. One lane will always remain open during the project. Construction will take place Monday thru Friday, 9am to 5pm.
This 6.3 million dollar project is much needed due to the traffic volume increases that Eastvale has experienced since becoming a city. Another reason is due to the nearby construction of Silverlakes. This equestrian center is expected to bring additional traffic to the area. It will be a 122 acre equestrian and sports park which is due to open next year. This center is expected to be a nationally recognized competitive arena for all horse enthusiasts.
