Murphy NC signs of the gorgeous Fall season we've had in the mountains

There are only a few signs left here in Murphy, NC mountains of the gorgeous Fall season we’ve had.  It was so beautiful and this years autumn hues and great weather were perfect for enjoying our surrounding nature in the NC, GA and TN mountains - our favorite time to hike too.  We had bunches of  “leaf lookers” here visiting and taking in the seasonal views and festivals.

Fall in the Murphy NC mountains

More and more of the leaves are falling and soon our lawns will be raked into piles and burned or bagged away. So take some time to enjoy the last few signs of the season as we get ready to decorate and plan our Thanksgiving dinners and get-togethers. All too soon we’ll be welcoming in Ole Man Winter here in the mountains!

I just love touching base with someone from Murphy.  I lived in Murphy in 1954 - 1956.  My first grade teacher was Miss McComb.  I think.  Don't remember much about it but know that we lived off of Swain Road. My Dad worked with FHA and had an office right down town.  WE were members at the large Methodist Church right down town.  I have the best memories of those few years growing up in Murphy..

How wonderful Ginger! I'll bet downtown would still look familiar to you and that's one reason we fell in love with Murphy NC. The Methodist Church is so beautiful too...these should bring back some memories...
