We all know that West Hartford is a great place to live, and I am often asked about affordable luxury condos by young, urban professionals (formerly known as yuppies) as well as others who are thinking about downsizing and prefer lots of amenities. Although "affordable" and "luxury" shouldn't really occupy the same phrase, it is possible to find affordable new construction homes in West Hartford.
One of the first places to look is Quaker Green, located at 30 Schoolhouse Drive in West Hartford. This development is situated within a few minutes drive to popular West Hartford Center, where shopping, dining, and entertainment abound. In addition, Cobins Corner & Westfarms Mall are just up the street, and a thriving Elmwood Center is right around the corner. Beachland Park, with walking paths, a pond, ball fields, and a playground is adjacent to the Quaker Green complex. Just minutes from Routes 84 and 91, Quaker Green offers an easy commute to Hartford, Waterbury and New Haven.
With a choice of 1-bedroom, 1-bath units starting at just $179,900, and 2-bedroom, 2-bath units with a balcony from $256,900 these West Hartford condos are truly affordable.
The Quaker Green condos are under construction now and will be ready for Spring, 2013 occupancy.
The units, equipped with well-designed kitchens & baths are the most affordable new condos in West Hartford. Homeowner's association fees are also affordable at around $225/month. As far as "luxury" status goes, I guess it's a subjective term, however there are some nice amenities for this price range. They include:
-
Swimming pool with sundeck
-
Beautifully furnished Social Room
-
Well-equipped Fitness Center
-
Lushly landscaped, in a park-like setting
-
Private "in building" 1 & 2 car garages with direct access to elevator
