Millis Spring 2012 MCAS Results Are In!
Millis has been known to place well in the State in MCAS results. This year's data upholds that status. The results are in and Millis studets continue to outscore the state average in ELA (English Language Arts), Math and Science. Results show that 75% of the Millis students that took the MCAS scored in the Advanced and Proficient categories. This stat is impressive especially when compared to 69% across the state in ELA.
Our "Small Town, Big Family" motto says alot about this town's residents. They all pitch in to make this a friendly, well rounded town. The school system is well known for its IPAD initiative where many high school students take home an IPAD daily which holds assignments, class work and tutuoring. The program is getting alot of attention from neighboring towns.
Keep your eye on the Millis school system - you'll see great things happening! As well, the town is getting a brand new library opening in the Spring of 2014. Roche Brothers just renovated and is a popular choice for grocery shopping in the neighboring towns. CVS has opened and expanded in a new location too!
