Today, Saturday November 3, 2012, is the Pullman Washington Annual Fair Trade Craft Fair from 9-5. It is taking place at the Community Congregational Church located at 525 NE Campus in Pullman.
There will be a selection of international crafts such as baskets, jewelry, musical instruments, games, scarves, toys and many other items. This is a great way to find some unusual gifts and treats for youself as well!
Fair Trade is an organized social movement that aims to help producers in in developing countries to make better trading conditions and promote sustainability according to Wikipedia. They advocate the payment of a fair price for these crafts in their country and then in turn provide these goods to our Pullman Washington Community at a fair price.
These crafts have been purchased in South America, Guatemala, Mexico and many other countries. In addition to providing help to these artisans in many countries, the folks at the church donate their time to better our community here in Pullman by supporting Pullman Child Welfare as well as other Pullman Charities.
One of our agents at Beasley Realty, Gary Schell, is one of those donating their time. Way to go Gary!
Homeowner Tip of the Day: A great way to help get rid of pet odor is to make a spray bottle of 1 part Minty Mouthwash to 3 parts water. Spray on area and cover with papertowels. Step on the area and let sit till spot dries so as to absorb odor.
