As a seasoned real estate professional I am seeing more of the "no service" pay a fee to put my home onh the MLS (Multiple List System) and then in three months, six months and sometimes even a year later those same home owners who wanted to sell their home are still living in their "For Sale By Owner" property. These people feel helpless and confused as to why they are not moving on with their lives.
It will always be the agent who continues to inquire about the misguided home owner ability to sell who will eventually end up with the listing.
Unfortunatly the "discount" agent will never go by the wayside, when ever a person likes the idea of a substantial cost savinngs then the discount agent will always have a willing client. So in a way the discount agent actually helps build the reputation of the full service agent.
