Simcoe County forest borders Bear Creek Meadows in South West Barrie.
It is a favorite place for residents to enjoy a breath of oxygen

and is frequented by families with little ones, teenagers who like to make ramps for their bikes or sleds in the winter. It is a reforestation area so the trees are planted neatly in rows and lend a great opportunity for fun photos.

It is also an occasional hangout place for deer and coyotes; we are always alert if we go for a walk in the evenings after dark. We live on the edge of this forest and sometimes hear packs of coyotes at night
We recently took a trip to South Africa to visit family and friends, (this was my first trip back in eight years) and the night we got back, after a gruelling 30 hour international trip Steve went to the corner shop for milk so we could have a cup of tea. As he was coming round the corner to our street, he was blessed to see a group of about 5 deer grazing at the edge of the forest. He said that he felt that they were welcoming home to our home in The Meadows Of Bear Creek in South West Barrie.
