Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center

By
Real Estate Agent with Prudential Damiano Realty

There's a weekend free waiting for the Superbowl and Spring Training is right around the corner. Now is the perfect time to visit the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center! Located on the campus of Montclair State University (MSU) in Little Falls, New Jersey, the Museum is an easy drive from New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.

The Museum and Learning center is right next to Yogi Berra Stadium-home of the New Jersey Jackals and MSU's Red Hawks.

Museum Hours:  Wednesday through Sunday, Noon to 5:00 p.m.

This is a great place to visit for young and older baseball fans - like a mini Cooperstown.

Love Yogi and his great one liners. Wish I could join you this weekend, a little far from me all the way down south in Fort Lauderdale. Maybe next summer I need to visit New Jersey again. Thanks for the post.

Danny - You're right, some of the funniest quotes I've ever heard are attributed to none other than Yogi. Just a side note, he and Phil Rizzuto used to own a bowling alley in my hometown of Clifton, NJ. I spent many a winter saturday morning bowling there as a kid. Phil's brother ran the place, but never met Phil or Yogi there. But I have run into Yogi a few times at his stadium and at the museum.

Nicholas - Come on up for a visit and take in a Jackals game too!

Jim, Yogi is one of my favorite catchers and philosophers of all time. I'll have to catch the museum next time I am in the area. Thanks for the heads up.

Jim ~ I agree with you and Danny - his quotes always make me say "huh?"!

We went to Cooperstown one year (not a good place to go if you are a woman with no interest in baseball), and my son really enjoyed himself.  Along with celebrity watching (got a great photo of Gregory Hines) my son was able to get an autograph from Yogi, along with a picture with him.  We have it framed and hanging on a wall in his room.  A great experience for my son, and one I'm sure he won't forget.

Gary - I love it, catcher and philosopher! Lets not forget left fielder and bad ball hitter!

Kathy- Sorry to hear you're not a fan of the game! Maybe if you just gave it a chance???? Good for you - giving your son the opportunity to experience baseball nirvana - Cooperstown! Glad he had such a great time!

Jim, next time I am in NY, I am going to try to check it out. You will have to give me directions, as I will be using public transportation from Manhattan.
